I’ve worked in film & TV in Australia, England and the US, starting as a location assistant for the drama unit of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, where I worked with Kylie Minogue before she was a star. I then moved to Pinewood Studios to work for American producer Elliott Kastner. I was involved in such films as Angel Heart, Homeboy, The Blob, A Chorus of Disapproval, Jack’s Back and many others. I was also involved in the development and packaging of Jericho, written by and set to star the late Marlon Brando. Brando personally picked me to assist with casting suggestions for the film.
In Los Angeles I worked on numerous films, TV and live events as a production assistant, production coordinator, assistant director, stage manager, producer and writer. My last years in Hollywood were spent in the Business & Legal Affairs department of DreamWorks live action on the Universal backlot.
I co-wrote the indie action/horror film Mexican Devil starring Danny Trejo, and wrote, produced and directed the short film “Bedbug” which can be seen on YouTube.
My first novel, The Scare, was adapted from a screenplay I wrote in homage to the 80s/90s style horror films I still love to this day. Girlfriend Trouble also started as a screenplay. At one time, actor Robert Carradine was attached to direct and I had many actors interested in playing the leads: Thuy Trang from Power Rangers, Tricia Joe from The Baby Sitters Club, Irene Ng from The Mystery Files of Shelby Woo, and Keith Coogan from Adventures in Babysitting and Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead.
I am currently in Australia, where I recently completed my third novel, a thunderously violent, slightly sci-fi tale of the Old West featuring the fierce and lovely Emeline Bransford. Available soon.
